okay, let's here some movies that made you say what at the ending. Like it did not seem like the end of the film or it was just so stupid you sat there thinking about what you just saw. An example is the ending of no country for old men the movie was good but the end was like what just happened.
Movies that made you say What??!!
"To Live And Die In L.A." came to mind. When,

with about 20 minutes left in the movie William Peterson, who had driven the story the whole way, gets his head blown off, it made me sit up and think "WTF???!!!".

Chinatown and The Holy Mountain are the first two to come to mind.

Hatchet. The movie was so bad not only did I say what? at the end but also through the entire movie.

the short film, un chien andalou. I was screaming what? all the way through
and my whole family said what?! for the ending of girl with a pearl earring. I guess we expected a climax or something.

I'm gonna go for variety here and not mention some of my favourite director's works.
I sat up and said 'WHAT' a very random Luke Wilson popped up in 3:10 to Yuma. I don't like the guy or think he's a credible actor at all, that's why I was so shocked to see 'cameo' (as if the fool should be associated with such a term) appearence by the even dodgier Wilson brother.

The Golden Compass had a horrible ending. It doesn't tell us what happens to the kids and her mom or anything. Absolutely horrific.

Fade in: A shy man sitting in a dark smokey theater, his grey eyes watering from the caustic misty atmosphere , his thumb - one by one - on both hands, touching his fingers back and forth - forth and back causing calluses on all his digits looked at the filmy screen. He screamed ........

Have you seen that movie The Counterfeiters. Its up there with schindler's list in my opinion. Its gives an amazing depiction of what life was like in concentration camps. The unique part is the perspective of someone being used by the nazis for their own gain.
I loved Starship Troopers when I was a kid. Its was definitely one of my favorite films and was very disappointed when they didn't continue the series. Especially because it was suppose to be a trilogy. While I wasn't a huge fan of the second film, Starship Troopers 3: Marauder looks good. To bad they couldn't get Neil Patrick Harris and Denise Richards back again.

what what what is the point of making a film with references so obscure and disorientated that it alienates its audience? Its not even good surrealist art. Although loved the monkeys during the credits.

dude grow up, if you went down to Blockbuster and borrowed a slasher film and you were angry that all the movie was about was a group of people getting killed by a serial killer then why the hell did you borrow a slasher film in the first place?
As for slasher movies, I love them. I know a good slasher from a bad one. Hatchet was a bad movie in my opinion. I have standards and expectations when it comes to horror movies, and Hatchet didn't live up to them. I found it to be a bad movie, in fact, I'm GLAD I went to blockbuster and rented it.
Like whatever movie you want to. I'm not going to push my opinion on you, just don't push your opinion onto me, kay? Do some research before you start and argument.

Did you have the same reaction when the officer who has led the effort to save Pvt. Ryan dies? And if not, why not?
Logan's Run
Aside from the terrible effects (a man in tinfoil and cardboard = hugely advanced evil robot) and the physics issues (you cannot shut a steel bulkhead with tons of water on the other side that is at a level above the bulkhead itself), this movie makes you go WTF at nearly every turn.
And yet, somehow, it manages 'cult classic' status.
