Ted 2   7/14/15
by thatfilmbloguk
Elements of the plot are either dragged on for too long or are not developed enough: for example, the scene where Ted, John and Sam stay in a barn overnight feels so unnecessary, taking a good fifteen minutes to shoddily introduce a plot element (and even including a song), whereas the blooming rela...

John's girlfriend Lori (Mila Kunis) has put up with Ted for too long, and wants John to decide between the love of his life and his 'thunder buddy', all while having to deal with Ted's obsessive stalker Donny (Giovanni Ribisi).

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm   6/24/15

Unlike the Burton films which had come before it, that primarily focused on the villains instead of devoting time to Batman himself, this film is rife with flashbacks detailing how and why Bruce Wayne put on the cowl and became Batman, and it really helped flesh out his character and made the whole ...

Batman: Assault on Arkham   6/24/15

Batman: Assault on Arkham manages to maintain the legacy of the Arkham series thanks to well-developed characters, captivating action scenes and a fantastic soundtrack, although is let down by a bloated third act and a few characters that don't quite fit in.

The film, for the most-part, takes time to set up characters and their relationships with others, mainly with Dick Grayson and the Riddler, who have decent chunks of time dedicated to developing their characters.

Batman Returns   6/19/15

As mentioned, at times the film is so dark and depressing, with truly sadistic and depraved characters on-screen that invoked true terror into me, but at other times it felt like a corny 90s comedy, with cringe-worthy innuendos and ridiculous plot devices leaving this film feel like a tug of war bet...

Batman   6/18/15

At the time, I was admittedly a massive fanboy of Christopher Nolan's Batman films, and although I adore them today just as much as I did then, I was blinded by the thought that nothing could match my beloved Batman capers.

Avengers: Age of Ultron   4/25/15

In fact, even if the film was 100% dialogue, story and character development, it would be just as good a film, and I wouldve been just as glued to my seat as much I already was during this 140-minute romp.
