The movie starts brilliantly with some family situations and the discovery of the secret book as well as the first revelation of the magical world. Unfortunately, after that the story is just so so.

To sum up, this is a great drama-horror movie, one of a kind. I highly recommend this movie and the ending offers a fascinating twist and surprise.
