Hereditary   6/08/18

It doesn't rely on jump scares at all, and actually the first half (maybe even closer to two-thirds) of the film plays out more as a drama film than a horror film.

The Rider   6/07/18

If I had never found out that the people from the real life story played themselves in this film (which I found out shortly after watching it), I would have continued to think that regular actors were in this film.

Action Point   6/04/18

The problem is that while a comedy is usually able to get by with a less-than-stellar story because it's ultimately a funny movie...Action Point doesn't succeed in the comedy department.

The dialogue is a bit painful at times, which seems to be a bit of a staple in most Blumhouse films.

However, you might notice that I did not give it the highest score that I've given a 2018 film, and really it came down to the fact that this isn't a film that I'm just gonna pop into the Blu-Ray player on a Saturday night when I wanna watch a movie.

It Comes at Night   5/30/18

And while it may not have been as "explosive" of an ending as some people probably hoped for, I found it very realistic and quite fitting for the film.

Solo: A Star Wars Story   5/28/18

Story: The story of Solo doesn't add much to the world of Star Wars other than giving us a little bit of background on Han and revealing how he gets involved with Jabba before A New Hope.

Deadpool 2   5/23/18

Story: The story of the Deadpool 2 is definitely more complex than the first one (although it does essentially boil down to "Guy from future wants to kill kid, Deadpool no like that"), and as a result I did find myself more invested in it than the first one.

Drive   5/04/18
by GrantD2
A film about a getaway driver that has quite a few fun scenes, a decent amount of action, and some serious moments to drive the story forward.

Avengers: Infinity War   4/28/18

This movie is the culmination of the first 10 years of Marvel movies, which means that damn near every Marvel character we've seen in the movies (apart from Ant-Man and Hawkeye) are in it.
