Boyz n the Hood   9/16/12

A brilliant and emotional story that is brilliant for Singletons first ever film as a director, perhaps one of the most underrated films I have seen as I have rarely seen any others talk about it yet there arent many films that are as mature and emotionally powerful as it in recent years.

Dead Ringers   9/15/12

One big flaw I found with the film was the lack of Bujold, in particular the way she disappears from the film towards the end.

If you did not find the film funny then I guess the films style of humour is just not for you, in my opinion its one of the funniest comedy films made, an excellent film that since has seen Sacha Baron Cohen go on to star in Bruno and The Dictator, films that have arguably failed to reach the hig...

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy   9/15/12

Like Step Brothers the film is directed by Adam McKay and stars Will Ferrell in the lead role in another childish (not meant offensively, but the best description of the characters as the film) comedy style film.

All round there are many great performances in the film but none better than Kevin Spacey in perhaps his best performance as an actor who portrays Lester Burnham perfectly as a man who seeks happiness once again in his life.

A Fistful of Dollars   9/12/12

To start I should say that I havent seen the Japanese film Yojimbo, the film that Sergio Leone has transformed in to a Western with this film so this review is based solely on this film and not the comparisons and parallels to its original.

The Hunger   9/11/12

The Hunger opens with a powerhouse of an opening scene, in which John and Miriam choose victims to feed on at a Bauhaus concert while Bauhaus performs the very memorable song for this film, "Bela Lugosi's Dead", which plays during the opening credits.

3:10 to Yuma   9/11/12

The final scenes between the two main characters in which Evans and Wade are the last two men left as Evans attempts to complete his journey to the train station sees a fantastic ending to the film.
