Matthew McConaughey, though -- his performance as Ron Woodroof in Dallas Buyers Club was not as large and in charge as Leonardo DiCaprio's performance here in Wolf, but had Matthew been in this movie longer than just the 10-15 minutes he did, he would have OWNED this movie, okay?

Despite the low quality, this film has a lot going for it.

There's a lot of crazy stuff going on, but it's all very engaging and because of the beautiful cinematography, the brilliant use of colors and Lynch's skillful directing, the film always has a sort of 'sophisticated' feeling to it, even when it shows really vulgar stuff.

To me, it almost works as an additional character in the film as it completes the mood/atmosphere.

The nightclub "Coco Bongo", where Jim Carrey goes in this movie and "The Majestic", is also the name of Jim Carrey's nightclub in Cancun, Mexico.

Throughout the film, the watcher is never really sure which of these attributes is in play but it doesn't matter as it makes the film no less effective.

This is one of the first films I remember seeing with an absolutely chilling OMFG plot twist.

Robert De Niro's character is absolutely amazing in this movie, with so many bizarre character traits and features that by the time that the movie ends, you truly begin to appreciate how unique of a performance that you have witnessed.
