Here, you get that sense of purpose in each member of the team, plus that sense of camaraderie between each of them that makes it feel more like a team film instead of the Ethan Hunt Show.

On the action side, it is somewhat interesting to see the franchise start to break away from having auteurs like Brian de Palma or John Woo direct the films and instead allow for relative newcomers like Abrams to hone their own styles amidst the demands of a studio-driven action blockbuster - unfort...

Whatever this object actually is, it is obviously highly dangerous if Davian has it up for sale, and Ethan Hunt and his team are called into action to recover the item, and bring Davian in for interrogation...

Abrams has a keen eye for action and pulls out all the stops here. MI:III is a good start for action movies, it sets the bar for others to follow.

Abrams ("Alias", "Lost") and the script try to add a core of emotional character development this time by having Cruise's superagent Ethan Hunt semi-retired from the IMF and about to settle down with a new young bride (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang's Michelle Monaghan).
