Towards the end of the film we get every visual trick that he could muster, which I found distracting and it took away from the story telling of the film.

However, back to the movie, there is no doubt Anderson's movies are about the world building, quirky characters, complex writing and weirdly costructed visuals - and I got to say, despite the problems I have, most of the times I love living in Anderson's world for those 90 minutes or more.

As the music flows and the people dance, you realize the personal love and affection Anderson put into the film.

Moonrise Kingdom is far from being such visceral experience, but it leaves me with faint nostalgia because the story portrayed features the same kind of platonic young love affair that I fantasized in my early adolescent digressions: a love adventure tale in a wistfully beautiful and stormy lan...

It was a fun ride and the film had a lot of elements from a typical Wes Anderson movie.

Although this film on the whole is possibly a more safe piece of work than some of Andersons other films, it means that in terms of quality this is probably the Andersons most perfect piece of work so far.
