A very heart-wrenching film and though it's hard to watch at times, it's still worth watching, even if you're like me and not a Christian.

The film felt more 'true' to the life of Jesus, not being in English.

Mel Gibson's telling of it focused so much on the violence and suffereing that it really under cut parts of what the actual message of the film should be...

There is a moment, after peter has denounced Jesus three times, that Jesus looks Peter in the eye from across the chamber, and the memory of what Jesus said floods back into Peters memory.

It is fitting that a film about Christ would mirror Christ in so many ways: controversy and admiration, love and hate, devisiveness and unification.
