As the film opens Elwood Blues (Dan Aykroyd) is picking up his brother, Jake (the late John Belushi) after a stretch in Joliet Prison.

The acting on display is wooden, specifically from Aykroyd and the film just felt like an homage to blues and blues legends more than something of its own.

Of course though, what would a movie about blues be without the music?

But if you want my honest opinion, The Blues Brothers feels like a less even and more mild version of the Naked Gun films.
