Back when I first seen Ed Wood (1994), I then watched the DVD box set of Wood's movies, The Ed Wood Collection - A Salute to Incompetence, I hate that title but it was a great set with Ed's most inspired films.

Depp beautifully conveys Wood's love and respect for Lugosi and watching Wood's denial about Lugosi's drug addiction is touching.

And while it's not a constant laugh right I do find the film to be terrifically funny at times, especially in the moments were Landau's Legosi loses his cool The film is fairly minimal when it comes to plot, meandering through Wood's resume of films one after the other; culminating with Wood's opus...

A man that made such Turkey films that his films became analysed and evaluated into exactly what went on in the mind of Ed Wood.

[i]Ed Wood[/i] has become a personal comedy to me. There are probably other comedies I find more enjoyable, but this is the one that really sticks with me.

The film Ed Wood was something of a mild disappoitment at the box office, but now also has a cult following. It's a must see.
