Cutting to the story, the movie follows the short story with Benjamin Button's voiceover, narrating the various turns of events.

I think it's a fantastic movie...

Button does not follow a particular movie formula. It can be said that it's an entirely different type of film, one where you wonder what will happen next seeing as how the film progresses in an entirely different direction than any other film.

I absolutely loved the look of Benjamin Button from the gorgeous opening scenes (a little J-P Jeunet inspired) through the wonderful realisation of the dark and resonating retirement home and the recreation of old New Orleans whorehouses, streets and bars and those atmospheric scenes in Murmansk.

Benjamin Button, while coming across many characters who like him and try to teach him about life, is really one of the loneliest characters in film history.

All in all it's long enough to be a true marvel , but it wastes the time given and fails to grip me to the characters - it's a big flashy show that I can see through.

If you've never listened to me before, listen to me now when I saw, please shell out the money to see this. Truly something to see in the cinema.

...could've been a great mini series or something, but as a feature length movie it falls short. It's got some parts that work, some parts that fail outright and ultimately it didn't do a lot for me.
