Right off the bat we learn that there's some sort of conflict between Deaf Girl and Office Dad where Deaf Girl's not allowed in the basement where he's working on hearing aids and she's also not allowed on trips out to catch fish (which is also a strike against the movie).

A Quiet Place takes the ambitious task of creating a world where monsters kill you if you make a sound.

The almost-complete non-sound is practically a character in the film, with long silences covered by sign language between the family members.

Safety in numbers has always been assumed in horror films but Krasinski throws that rule out the window too...where the horror genre is concerned, nothing is sacred here and nothing feels ripped off from another movie.

A Quiet Place may not be the movie of the year, but it stands out as a key entry of tje modern horror scene that sets Jim Halpert himself, John Krasinski as a future grand director who may be able tp stand with modern greats like Wes Anderson, as well as put modern veteran horror directors like Adam...

This is a very quiet movie (shocker), but every sound that is made carries some significant weight.

If I was scrolling through a list of horror films and saw this poster without seeing the film, Id assume it was just one of those types of horror films Not a good idea marketing team.

This film can be viewed because it is a different film from other horror films .
