The reveal of the Ghostface Killer is also pretty central to this movie since it quietly lays the foundation for a whole NEW dimension to this movie: the whodunnit mystery.

The way the scenes in the party are intercut with the kids watching Halloween is done so well, from Randy being stalked by the killer as he watches Jamie Lee Curtis being stalked on tv, to the 'obligatory tit shot' cut with the sex scene.

Drew Barrymore is also mentioned a lot in relation to this film, and although her scene is probably the best scene in the entire film, I would not say it was because of her, I thought she was good in her role, but it wasn't until the last few moments of her character's life when she calls out for he...

The characters featured in this film might not always know the exact details of every slasher movie, but they are familiar enough with the conventions to the point where one of the characters outlines the "rules" which every such film supposedly obeys.

But in 1996 , Kevin Williamson & Wes Craven decided to make a new innovative film that broke all the rules of standard Horror Movies and made something fresh and original...i`m talking about Scream.

It has been credited with the 'decline' of horror films, even though this film is particularly good.

I guess this movie really appeals to anyone who thinks all these Chucky and Jason movies are all equally horrible.
