The Cohens have crafted a funny if often unbelievable story that the viewer becomes completely engaged with because of these two very likeable central characters named Hi and Ed, Ed, in particular, becomes the emotional heart of this story.

Fifteen babies played the Arizona quintuplets in the film.

Cage and Hunter work really well off each other and of course John Goodman, who is a Coen regular, is terrific in his role as the just escaped jail bird friend of Cage.
