It is coherent in a way that I've not really felt in one of these films in a long time, and it's impressive because of the way that it encompasses such a sprawl of characters.

So boom, they got a time machine, and instead of time traveling to when they were fighting Thanos in the last movie to literally double their numbers, or even to a period before Thanos decided to get the Stones to stop him then, they go on this whole spiel about how they can't do this or that becaus...

As for special effects, the MCU is so chock full of them that you can pluck any movie from the universe and not go wrong.

Avengers: Endgame is a great film and the biggest film to hit cinemas in a decade.

Every character felt in place with this film, the plot twists were not at all hamfisted or typical MCU formula, and the end result is only going to make me want to see every future MCU movie in theaters now, even though a glorious era has ended with this film.
