Please do not translate my thoughts on this movie all those who climbed Mount Everest are irresponsible as I admire Reinhold Messner but that's the guy who grew up in mountains and from early age was climbing Dolomites.

Everest is a visual and emotional roller coaster that retells the fight for survival of several climbers during the 1996 Mount Everest tragedy.

I still think that horror films are the better choice when watching people making stupid decisions and dying, but Everest is up there.

Some of the scenes were borrowed from the IMAX documentary film Everest (1998), which follows an actual expedition to the top of the mountain.

This film is definitely at its strongest and most penetrating, when the wind and weather is as well, which can only mean that the mountain is the true winner of this film not the characters of which the film is actually based on.
