Personally, while I didn't think it measured up to the first Spider-Man movies, I thought it was a solid film with a charming cast that had a lot of chemistry.

The Amazing Spider-Man was a lot better than the previous Spider-Man trilogy, with some great action, and fantastic shots of Spiderman swinging over the city, all makes for a very strong, and entertaining movie.

It's not as bright and comicbook looking as Raimi's films and tends to give 'colour' to the film thorugh the characters' personalities and the script writing.

The film's greatest strength for me is clearly the handling of the 'normal' life of Peter Parker, particularly Peter's relationship with Gwen Stacey.
