It isn't a let down at all, and possibly steps it up some from the first one.

Even though this movie features a clown and a bat as it's villain and hero it really does feel like Heat or any other crime drama.

Along with Iron Man, The Dark Knight sets a new standard for comic book adaptations.

It burns its way into your head and lets you know that the next two-and-a-half hours are going to be quite a step up from what you were probably expecting.
