The death is written sloppily; overcautious and extremely professional L decides to go back to their old hotel after raiding the DEA building and, secretly from Mathilda, starts to kill the corrupt cops but doesn't start with the leader.

The movie's humour tends to come from the awkward, mildly sexual moments between Leon and Matilda, which gives the movie a few 'shouldn't laugh' moments, but Leon's reactions are what makes it funny, as Jean Reno again, is spot on.

Something like 20 minutes was added to the film which dives deeper into the creepy relationship between Leon and Mathilda.

Mathilda's character is basically put to a halt as well once Leon dies and the movie ends about 5 minutes after his death unfortunately making a lot of the whole story go to waste on a cheap ending.
