I watched the first one today for the first time in ages, and I thought "This one is easily the best one, but not my favorite". That honour goes to the second Lethal Weapon.

There's this really terrible joke in the movie that Murtagh's daughter is gonna be on TV and it turns out she's in a skimpy swimsuit to sell condoms, this naturally triggers too-old-for-this-****-Murtagh go on off on a conservative dad tangent, but it's comedically undercut by his youngest daughter ....
When it turns out that the South Africans are part of the money laundering that Leo was part of and Leo is also kidnapped, Riggs and Murtaugh go all out to save Leo and stop the organisation from escaping back to South Africa.
