Gremlins is a film that sets itself up with all the classic elements of Christmas films of years gone-by, and then gleefully sets about ripping them to shreds.
This was a lot better that most of his movies because it was a horror movie that embraced the fact it was geared towards children and as such it should be treated like a children's movie.
Needless to say, about 35 minutes into the film, Gizmo gets light, water, and fed after midnight which turns Gizmo into a gremlin machine, producing hundreds of deadlier, uglier versions of Gizmo who wreak destruction on the small town.
