In pretty much every screen iteration so far, whether it be the original 1978 film, the 90s Lois & Clark TV show or the Superman prequel show Smallville, it has fallen to Jonathan and Martha Kent to raise Clark and teach him about the values of humanity.
From that moment on the film feels less like a Superman film and more like an Alien Invasion movie and I feel like that was their intention.
Henry Cavill truly embodies the role of Superman and I'm very excited to see where the DC universe will go with Justice League and the inevitable revival of Superman.
