Mia, an aspiring actress, serves lattes to movie stars in between auditions and Sebastian, a jazz musician, scrapes by playing cocktail party gigs in dingy bars, but as success mounts they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart.
The style of film making and especially the visuals, are a love letter to those glamours technicolor musicals of days gone by.
Right off the bat, when I seen the old time logo: Presented in CINEMASCOPE I knew I was in for a modern-retro....
This is their third film together with their third filmmaker, proving that creative talent love the idea of pairing them together to capture the audience's imagination. And to me, this is by far their strongest performance together.
