The fact that he has to spend a lot of time communicating with people at some of their darkest hours may make it easy to think of him as a sort of "people person", even though he's spent his entire life trying to unburden himself from having to get close enough to people to develop a relationship.
Up In The Air is not my favourite Reitman film ... but it's his most mature work and it shows us that if he is this good now, what he has to deliver in the future will be marvelous..
Clooney plays a sad lonely man and i guess he feels comfortable with who he is , but Anna Kendrick is like an angel showing him that there is more to life than firing people.
