Based on a novel by Michael Tolkin, this is the story of Griffin Mill (Tim Robbins),a movie studio executive whose primary job duty is listening to writers pitch ideas for movies and the fate of whether or not these pitches actually become movies often rests on Griffin's opinion alone.
If you devoted a movie to explaining what makes a good movie and then demonstrating what that good movie might look like, you get the "Player".
