Cartoon featuring a troubadour singing "I see the moon..."

In the late '80s/early '90s I saw a cartoon on (I think) the Disney Channel. All I can remember is that there was a troubadour (a romantic singer from medieval times) singing a song. All the lyrics I can remember from the song he was singing are, "I see the moon shining down on lovers, shining through the gloom..." I have no idea when the cartoon itself was made, though from what I can remember of the style, it might have been from the '50s or '60s. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance!
