Ava DuVernay will be directing a film adaptation of Jack Kirby's DC title New Gods. Jack Kirby created the New Gods in 1971 as part of his “Fourth World Saga,” a group of gods including Darkseid, Orion, Highfather, Steppenwolf and Big Barda.

I’m hoping Ava directing means Oprah as Granny Goodness. That would be insane.

Side note: Mike Mignola was working on an animated version of this once. Cool stuff.
