Ok, so I drink tea and spell colour with a "u"

After spending the past week having to go back on posts I have drafted and change the word "film" (which I type instinctively) to "movie" before submitting to stay in keeping with the forum, I have decided to just use the word film from now on.

Notice my posts. I always say 'film'.

Tea - Good

Colour- Any other spelling is just lazy

For me it's more natural to use film however I use movie for films I'm not much impressed with

I use 'film' for the medium. So eg movies and TV shows = film, but if someone asks 'what's your favourite film' I assume they're asking about a movie. What I don't get is why Poms say 'series' for 'season'. Last night I watched the latest episode in this last season of Black Sails, not the last series of Black Sails. Not to worry because I fell asleep before the episode ended.

Tea - Drinking a pot right now.

Spelling - mum's the word; a jail is a gaol, and I like to change the colour of my day, but if some Yank's mom is in jail and can't change the color of her day I know what they're talking about. And where I am an outlaw motorcyclist is a bikie, not a biker. Bikers are any motorcycle enthusiasts. And they eat biscuits, not cookies, and their girlfriends wear thongs on their feet, not in their pants. And fanny is most certainly not the same thing it is in america.

Oh come on now these Yanks call a game where you pick up the ball and run around with it while clad in a massive amount of pads and a crash helmet Football and a game where you actually kick the ball soccer for god sake lol. If they ever try and pick you up on words or spelling just ask them wha tlanguage they are speaking? Thats right English!

Seriously it is just minor differences in the culture and I just interchange with the terms and terminology as I see fit, I spell using the English way of spelling errr English but I understand either way and do not even notice the spelling difference too used to it I guess.

That's because 'series' is correct

A series is a 'a number of events, objects, or people of a similar or related kind coming one after another.'

A season is a 'each of the four divisions of the year (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) marked by particular weather patterns and daylight hours, resulting from the earth's changing position with regard to the sun.'

How does season make sense

LMAO. Oh you!

Before we went to US we were told not to ask for black or white coffee because it's not PC. It's coffee with or without. The first time we were served by a barista we were asked if we wanted a black or white coffee. Huh?
