Now I'm even more confused. I don't care about being Metal myself. I just want to know what it means to you though.

I find usually there are two types of people who enjoy heavy/extreme music, people who it influences on a personal/emotional level, and people who just like the raucous nature and pageantry.

It has a sort of "horror" aspect to it, I think. No surprise that you have a Dracula avatar and Swan's into horror. It's extreme, musically, in the way that horror films can be extreme. There's a fascination going on with darkness and evil and scary things. It's a brutal music genre to get accustomed to. It doesn't always sound all that pleasant.

Metallica sounds great, though. I actually just got some of their music to own. I'm very happy they're in the final. I think they're now probably my favorite metal band.

I'm just wondering if SC was making a joke, or if he actually considers himself Metal.

No joke. I am Metal.

I did pick a song that made it to the Final 4.

I have personal reasons for being the way I am, my fascination with the morbid and occult(true definition of occult being knowledge of the hidden/secret) is 20+ years old at this point, my love of horror movies and culture pre-dates my love of Black Metal, I grew up watching horror, mob and war movies with my Dad.

The books/magazines I read, music I listen too, films I watch, decorum of my home, way I dress(I basically only wear black, barring shoes) all of that reflects my attitude and interests. As you can probably gather SC, I hold individualism in high regard

It was just a matter of time before someone posted that.

I've never heard of SubRosa before and Metallica is obviously a classic. I like both of them and it doesn't help that both songs are tonally very different either.


Only one of them has earned a spot in my personal library though, and that would be...
