A lot of movie gold is donated to college universities for example. I know there are museums.. one being "Museum of Film and Sound" where they have stuff you can't find or even buy online because they are out of print, etc etc.. There's one in LA, one in NYC.

Maybe there's a site you can enter a location, and see "independent film theaters" "art houses" anything to do with film. If i do, I'll come back and reply.
