A Million Ways to Die in the West

I have seen this a little bit ago, but just recently just watched again last night, and wanted to give my take on it, so here we go.

This film is a great "first watch", and should be considered a one off. Like most of Seth MacFarlane's (family guy, Cleveland) work, there are plenty of describing something and doing a cut-scene to enhance it. On the first watch you'll find yourself laughing, and it's even better with a group of drunk friends. However, if you try to watch again and experience the same feeling, you'll be left wondering "wow, that is really a slow pace movie, with to much random babeling.

Even though the budget was decent, and the costumes and sets were set to the time period, alot of seth's dialogue is almost modern. Explaining illnesses that possibly/probably haven't been discovered in the 1800's, which while funning, kind of takes away from the immersion of the period film.

This is just my opinion and i'd like to hear what you think of the film.

Sorry Harmonica.......I got to stay here.
I just watched this-- it was an enjoyable little romp, with some very good laughs in it, and surprisingly good chemistry between the 2 leads. This is your basic fart- and dick-joke western comedy. Think of it as Blazing Saddles' slacker stepson. Seth McFarlane can be viciously funny. Sometimes too long between laughs, but the romance/story works well anyway. The dialogue is written in modern-day style -- you would think Seth and Charlize were at a Hollywood bar shooting the breeze, which is fun for a movie of this sort. I liked it for what it was.
