Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014)

I couldn't really find a proper thread about Ridley Scott's latest project, so I decided to create one myself.

What do you think? Could this be a modern biblical epic done right or will it be just another bland Hollywood decoction of a biblical legend that ultimately fails to capture the essence of the story, despite all the talent that's involved?
