Jarhead 2: Field of Fire

Jarhead, the 2005 Sam Mendes movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Jamie Foxx and Chris Cooper...

has a direct-to-DVD sequel coming out this August 19th.

I have no idea who's in it (definitely not Gyllenhaal, I imagine), who directed it or what it's about. I just know that it's Rated R for violence and language, including sexual references, and it's 103 minutes long.

No poster or anything at all. I just know Jarhead 2 is coming.

Can't believe they made a sequel to Jarhead.

And not even one I would have wanted to see.

But it's probably going to suck.

The first film is based on a decent book by Anthony Swofford, he is played by Jake Gyllenhaal in the film. That's what made the first film interesting, based on the memoirs of the real life soldier, Swofford.

So is the sequel just using the term Jarhead and new characters then? because I can't remember anything new involving the Gyllenhaal character that can be used unless they make new stuff up...
