January 29th, been a year since my join date, feels like time for a countdown update. grab a cocktail, don't hold back posting random gifs at any time, making random comments, it's all in bounds. enjoy

if my calculations are right, the blowout festivities should last about a week, as i'll post around 5 movies a day. kicking it off with ~

What better way to start a list than with a Kubrick film? FMJ is terrific. Blue Velvet is also awesome.

That's about where I have Full Metal Jacket on my list, and I also love Blue Velvet and The Maltese Falcon. I haven't seen Ran or The Third Man yet, but would like to.

It's not bad, per se, but I do urge you to see The Third Man asap, as I think that's the one you'd like the most.

Is it bad that I've not seen any of these movies yet?
I'm the same. Out of these ones, Full Metal Jacket is the closest on my watch list.

+1

Ran is the only film I haven't seen from this list so far but it's been on my watchlist for a while now and I intend to finally see it sometime this year.
