Happened to have seen some of The Pledge on TV last night. I missed the beginning and watched it off and on but I saw the end and have a main question which I just edited cause I think I got things wrong. At any rate:

Was it clear who the killer was at the end and why? Having missed a lot of the movie I thought it was the preacher guy but it's the candy store guy who apparently isn't seen in the movie almost at all. Also, were those two guys related at all and was the preacher guy connected to any porcupine candy or porcupine paraphernalia? For some reason I thought maybe the preacher guy was the son of the candy store guy but now I think that's not the case.
