No, temporary. But he's gotten his final warning. Normally we wouldn't do this many temp bans, but stuff like this is more annoying than it is actively hostile, so we try to use a lighter touch. And I think we should use the temporary ban a little more often than we do, so it seemed to make sense here.
But yeah, if he keeps dragging his pet topics into unrelated threads, that's it. There has to be a limit on even the relatively minor annoyances.
