Hello
I saw a movie years ago and I think it may have been scifi.
All I know is that I remember possibly an opening scene
of a futuristic highway and someone riding an advanced
(possibly futuristic) motorcycle down that highway very fast.
The motor cyclist is then automatically detected speeding
by the (possibly intelligent) Highway Patrol computer system
which is monitoring
traffic flow/speed on the highway. The highway computer
performs a BOOKING procedure against the errant motorcyclist
and so it speaks to him over his bike communication system
"You have been detected speeding doing (something like)
150mph in a 100mph zone. You will be fined $1000.00 and this
amount will be automatically debitted from your bank account
Dr "such and such"".
The motorcyclist curses (and then moves off again as he
stopped after being booked by the Highway Patrol computer)
and then moves off again down the highway.
All I remember is that scene. I don't know what movie it is
a part of (maybe someone here can help or make suggestions?).
I originally thought the scene in question may be part of the
movie 2010 The Year we Make Contact (which is I think
a sequel to Stanley Kubriks 2001) and I thought the
motorcyclist in question may have been Kirk Douglas
(but then he may have been too old for that role even
back then). As far as I know the guy riding the motorcycle
should be the character of Dr Floyd in 2010
(if I have the right movie).
I have just bought a copy of 2010 and I can't see this scene
anywhere in it (maybe they deleted this scene but why ?).
I'm not sure 2010 is the right movie. It could be in another
scifi/techno/futuristic style movie.
Not talking about any of the Tron movies either.
(not what I'm looking for).
I wish I could remember which movie the above scene
was in.
Any help very much appreciated.
