Darkrose: Top 50 List

Tools

Know that this was extremely hard to do and it might not even be 100% accurate. Also, it isn't in order and there are many classics that I have yet to see such as: Star Wars, Pulp Fiction, A Clockwork Orange, Godfather, Requiem for a Dream, The Big Lebowski, and Children of Men. These are the ones that have been on the top of my "to watch" list for years and am still very eager to watch, but simply have not been able to do so for multiple reasons. I'm sure you all will be very disappointed because even I consider some of these to be mandatory watchings to consider yourself as a semi well rounded movie watcher. And I would love to receive "need to watch" lists. Rating would be appreciate

Are you going to be sending this list here in to WBadger to contribute to the MoFo Top 100 list?
I want to, but its hard to pick just 25, that's why I made a top 50.
Also, I don't know how to send them...

Just private message them to WBadger, and if they're not in a specific order just go with the first 25 and don't worry about it, better to submit something than nothing.

Also, none of your images are working for me. I think you're linking from imdb and I'm pretty sure they don't like that (to their images at least).

By the way, my favourites from your list:

2. Fight Club
3. Donnie Darko
6. Blade Runner
22. Dark City
37. The Usual Suspects
43. Arthur
46. The Crow
47. Ferris Bueller's Day Off

1. American Beauty 7/10 have only seen it once really need to check it out again.

2. Fight Club 10/10
If someone asked me who I thought was the best director to come out of the 90's Fincher would most likely be it.

3. Donnie Darko 8/10
A kind of lost in the shuffle film until it became a huge hit on DVD

4. Gingersnaps 2/10
One of the worst films I've ever seen I was struggling to get threw this one.

5. Point of No Return 5/10
if you dug this you really should check out the original this film was based off of a film called Le Femme Nikita it's hands down better.

6. Blade Runner 10/10
masterpiece.

7. What Dreams May Come 8/10
It's such an unusual film. the look is tremendous and it's a emotional rollercoaster.

8. Equilibrium 6/10
I'm a huge action fan but it was too much of a rip-off of a movie that was already a rip off, matrix.

9. American Psycho 8.5/10
great dark humor. freaky as well. I might give it a higher rating.

10. The Last Boy Scout 7/10
I like Tony Scott a lot and Bruce Willis just as much and i've already confessed my love of action. superbly enjoyable.

11. Johnny Mnemonic 4/10
Seen once way.....way back

15. Point Break 6.5/10
Didn't really like any of the characters but it was extremely well craft and has one of the best foot chases of all time

16. Fright Night 7/10
Great camp fun something you can rewatch all the time.

17.Tango & Cash 6.5
It's gotten a bad rap over the years and i'm not about to say it perfect it has remained endearing to me.

20. The Invisible 5/10
I remember seeing the trailer to this and I was hyped. unfortunately it didn't live up to the trailers expectations. Also for some reason I was quite depressed after watching.

21 Chasing Amy 7/10
witty. I love the fact that it has comics and sega EA Sports NHL 93 oh and lesbianism is never a bad thing.

22. Dark City 7.5/10
it's been a while since my last viewing of this film. I beileve I could go either way with my rating. For me I seem to have lost interest on repeated viewings.

23. The Thirteenth Floor 6/10
Low rating but I can only say that I liked it and I'd rather watch it again and then give it a rating.

24. The Butterfly Effect 5/10
there's a lot better films that deal with time travel out there.

26. End of Days 5/10
Peter Hyams has made his share of duds. It gets a low rating but I've seen it probably three times and i've like it each time. For Peter Hyams I recommend you check out his best Running Scared (1986) his most creative Capricorn One and my guilty pleasure Timecop. All of which I beileve to be quite a bit better than End of Days.

28. The Exorcist 10/10
one of the best in it's genre. more importantly one the best films ever.

30. Femme Fatale 9/10
If you like this one as you do you''ll basically dig anything and everything of Brian De Palma's really! . Ive always thought that Femme Fatale was a conglumeration of everything De Palma.

31. Falling Down 8.5/10
People acuse Joel Schumacher of make bad films while this maybe true he's also made some good one like this.

32. Scream 8/10
Wes Craven has good cinematic timing. never was it so evident then here.

33. Se7en 9.5/10
love seeing another Fincher in here great stuff.

34. The Fly 7.5/10
distrubing really distrubing. need to watch again.

35. The Cell 6.5/10
neat concept, not completely poorly done either. it lingers somewhere better either needing to be more subsantial or more smaller. it took on too much for it budget.

36. Blade 5/10
check out the second one it's so much better.

37. The Usual Suspects 6/10
once your done with it your really done with it. It kind of now feels like a flavour of the month.

38. Flatliners 8/10
I might be in a small group of people that actually enjoyed this one glad to find another admirer.

39. Interview with the Vampire 7/10
quite good.

40. Hostel 7.5/10
Unlike Cabin Fever, I thought this was frighteningly surreal yet plausible and that's what freaked me out.

41. Addams Family 6/10
I haven't seen this in so so long

42. American Werewolf in London 8.5/10
charming and gory. rick bakers special effect are to this day groudbreaking

44. Cabin Fever 3/10
I really didn't get all the hype surrounding this film it was flat and unenjoyable.

45. Cat's Eye
Could you tell me about this film please.

46. The Crow 6/10
I think i would have given this 10/10 back when I saw it for the first time on VHS not that i've had a few more viewing under my belt it really hasn't held up.

47. Ferris Bueller's Day Off 8/10
lots and lots of funny.

50. Labyrinth 7.5/10
Jim Henson Puppets with Jennifer Connelly in the main role great fantasy.
