Hi! After DAYS of obsessive searching I am throwing myself on the mercy of the experts here....

I'm haunted by a movie. It is NOT Lang's "Destiny" (Der Mude Tod), or the Mexican "Macario". BUT it has the same image - a man being shown around a room full of candles, watched over by a sombre figure (Death?), who explains that each candle is a human life... the tall strong candles are the young and the stubs are the old or sick. When a life's candle goes out, that life is over.

The man demands to be shown his candle, and eventually is shown the shortest candle, eaten away and faltering. I think the man dies, but having read all kinds of versions of Grimms' "Godfather Death" online, I'm not sure whether it really follows that faithfully.

This could even be a made for TV movie or episode of a series.

Many thanks in advance!
