The idea of this thread is to name an actor or a director whose First film was certified Great movie. In some cases the very first film was a student film, a short, for TV, or a doctumentary. Those do not count. The idea is that the film is genuinley recognized as their First.

John Huston

The Maltese Falcon (1941)

Sidney Lumet

12 Angry Men (1957)

George Lucas

THX 1138 (1971)
