Well, for those of you that like Cabin Fever, Eliu Roth is at it again, but this time he has the back up from writer director Tarantino. Hostel is said to be one grusome flick.

Trailer is here: http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/hostel.html

Here is a European poster (damn MPAA will never allow it here)

The anger in me brews and brews. Tarantino briefly helped Roth by touching up some of the dialogue of the script Roth wrote. That's it. And then his name gets slapped on the poster and trailer in a font size that is almost bigger than the title of the movie itself.

If the marketing department of Lions Gate feels that Hostel will get the most word of mouth possible because Tarantino happened to be a producer - which to my understanding he came on as a producer after the film was already in production - then I am saddened that they've jumped on the Tarantino nametag bandwagon.

The movie is going to be a hoot and it bums me out that Eli Roth isn't going to get the credit from the masses that he deserves.

I know and it pisses me off to no end.

Hell, I was pissed off walking out of Sin City and hearing some hat say, "You could sooo tell Quentin Tarantino had a lot to do with that movie!" I should have chopped him in the throat. Tarantino doesn't have a patent on violence (though he does argueably have a patent on imitating other people's violence) so it pains me when people act like he does.

I'm sure he has a good sized ego, and rightfully so given his practically self-made success, and that he probably isn't the one insisting his name be plastered on other people's work, but he should show some bone and ensure it isn't done in such a dominating manner.
