Let the night air cool you off
1. Malibu Ken - Acid King
- Aesop Rock is a weirdo. Love it.

2. Betty Davis - Anti Love Song
- Love Betty Davis. Gin Wigmore take notes. This is a bad ass female rock star. Her voice is so cool. The music is funk gold.

3. U2 & Johnny Cash - The Wanderer
- How have I never heard of this song before? What a weird mix. U2, Cash, and Eno. This should be just a clusterf*ck of a weird car crash, but I really like this. Part of the joy from this is expectations and how weird it is to hear Cash performing over these instruments. Interesting lyrics too.

4. Kenny Rogers - Morning Desire
- This has that 80's country sound that really keeps that era of country music from being my favorite. Kenny Rogers also has a certain softness that I don't usually like from male country singers. He'll never be a favorite of mine, but I can't really say that I ever hate any of his songs. And he's certainly charming. This song is decent enough.

5. Mad Season - I Don't Know Anything
- Perhaps this track should have just been an instrumental. Vocally it's not bad, but lyrically it's the kind of thing that kinda gets an eyeroll out of me nowadays. I really like do the music though.

6. The Dogs - End of an Era
- Decent 00's rock song. This type of music from this era had a relatively low ceiling for me. This tune is fine enough, I guess.

7. Gin Wigmore - Black Sheep
- Feels a little too on the nose for presenting yourself as a bad ass. Not terrible though. It's a fun, high energy performance. Seeing as it's a performance for a tv show, I probably would have had a decent time in the audience. Of course, the lyric about going black definitely doesn't make me think what she's trying to make me think.

A system of cells interlinked
I will pop back in for round 12!

Rush - Limelight

I went to go say hi to a friend who was in town working for them (I hadn't even heard of them, so the name went in one ear and out the other). She suggested I just go up to the balcony to see the show. hahah. I hadn't intended seeing a band, didn't even know them, but it was pretty cool. I couldn't tell you if Haley was with them, they had a **** ton of personnel, none of whom I was familiar with. I was impressed with pretty much all of them though. They did this amazing percussion piece that was REALLY great.

1. Betty Davis - Anti Love Song
Way ****ing cool. And she influenced then hubby Miles. Waaaaaaaaay ****ing cool.

2. Mad Season - I Don't Know Anything
Love Mad Season.

3. Dogs - End Of An Era
don't know this, pretty good.

4. Malibu Ken - Acid King
Interesting. Do like.

5. Gin Wigmore - Black Sheep

6. Johnny Cash & U2 - The Wanderer

7. Kenny Rogers - Morning Desire
