What country would you say makes the best films?

South Koreans.
France.


I will add India, but absolutely not Bollywood. Instead keep it confined to Bengali, Marathi and Malayalam language movies. And recently Assamese.

Hong Kong: Crime
South Korea: RomComs, Thriller
Japan: Horror
UK: Comedic Sitcoms

I’m shocked nobody has mentioned the UK

For me it would probably be UK, Italy, France and Japan.

Though I have loved many movies from other countries too.

I would not at all give USA the undisputed no. 1 and am surprised that anyone would.
