Yeah it's a bit compulsive isn't it. My main problem was that the shop I buy most of my DVD's in is on my way home from work, or if I was going to my parents house. It's a great shop, and sells DVD's for as little as £3, our minimum wage here is £5, so it gives you a lot more bang for your buck!!!
I'm a recovering amazon-aholic, I must be part owner by now!!!
Don't want my collection rated, films and music are personal choices, I like having an ecclectic taste in both, and we get a lot more foreign films here too.
I just went cold turkey, amazon here I come!

Yup, I agree. With collections you're sometimes rating someone's job, living arrangements or income. I prefer picking out individual DVDs, such as:

I'm a recovering amazon-aholic, I must be part owner by now!!!
Don't want my collection rated, films and music are personal choices, I like having an ecclectic taste in both, and we get a lot more foreign films here too.
I just went cold turkey, amazon here I come!
I just amazon'd it up yesterday:
The Machinist
American Psycho
Sideways

Photoshop 7 for Dummies
Posession

My DVD sports collection consists of nothing, nowt, nil and nada. I had a few on VHS but my most prized video was An Impossible Game, the fly-on-the-wall doc about Graham Taylor's Hamletian descent in charge of the England footie team. Never found it on DVD.

"Can we not knock it?"

"Carlton....CARLTON!!....***K!!"

"Yes boss"

...and other gems.

I took these 30+ DVDs out of my collection and added them to mum and dad's, they wanted some extra discs to make their new DVD rack look good. So I've basically given these titles to my parents...

8 Mile, A.I. - Artificial Intelligence, American Pie, American Pie 2, Analyze This, Baby Boy, Blade, Cabin Fever, Four Rooms, Freddy Vs. Jason, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, The Killer, "Little Britain" (The Complete 1st Series), Mallrats, El Mariachi, Desperado, Donnie Darko (Director's Cut), Once Upon a Time in Mexico, The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Natural Born Killers (Director's Cut), Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Repo Man, Rush Hour, Scarface (1983), South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Star Wars – Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars – Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Reservoir Dogs (Vanilla).

Well, judging from your age and your movie tastes, I strongly suggest that you seek out the following...

Almost Famous, As Good As It Gets, The Bride of Frankenstein, Chasing Amy, Class, Collateral, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Fargo, A Fish Called Wanda, A Fistful of Dollars, A Fistful of Dynamite, For a Few Dollars More, From Dusk Till Dawn (I know you're a big QT fan, and I can't believe you've not seen this!), His Girl Friday, I Heart Huckabees, The Producers, Raising Arizona, Road Trip, Snatch, ”Spaced”, Trainspotting, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre and Unforgiven.

Add those to your Netflix queue or hunt them down at your local rental store. You'll love 'um!
