I've seen this from your list, John. Most of them have a chance to be in mine, with the exception of Elite Squad and Eastern Promises, both of which I really liked, but not *that* much.

@Thief

I went back over my 2005 films and somehow overlooked two of my favorite films from that year:

•Brick
•Kung Fu Hustle

Both of which didn’t make an appearance on either list as well.

Brick barely missed the "popular" list. It was #21. Kung Fu Hustle was indeed 2004, and it was way down at #49 in the "popular" list.

Can't say I've ever taken any notice of what Ebert (or any other so-called 'critic') thinks but this intrigued me that perhaps someone remade Chabrol's fillum in the 2000s. All IMDb appears to have listed for the 2000s is a 23 min Canadian short from 2008 that has no ratings whatsoever?

Yeah, it's a 1970 film, but for some reason, it came up on Ebert's page when I filtered by year. I also removed a few others that were from the 1990s and 1980s (Diva and The Terrorist). Thanks for the heads-up!

No worries. See - 'critics' - what do they know eh, can't even get the bloomin' dates right

Here’s looking at you, kid.
Atm, I have three films that other people might not have, if no one else has said films, than it’s a waisted vote. Trying to decide if these three films are good enough.

Three films I have atm, I don’t think others will have:
•Gangs of New York
•A Beautiful Mind
•Brick (others might have this film, maybe)

Next are films I know other will have, so I know that the vote will actually come in handy, but I like the above three films more, so I’m in a pickle, but I don’t want to waste a vote.
•Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind
•Before Sunset
•Howls Moving Castle
•Pans Labyrinth
•Wall-E
•The Wrestler
•Lotr Two Towers
•Lotr Fellowship (only put one Lotr film, because their is not much room in 25)

Finally, these next films are some of my favorites but I had already cut out, but I really miss them on the list but I didn’t want a wasted vote.
•Kung Fu Hustle
•Lucky Number Slevin
•Count of Monte Cristo
•O Brother Where Art Though

Some more fillums I've rewatched for this: Inhyeongsa, Le pacte des loups, Taegukgi hwinalrimyeo, Tom yum goong, Driving Aphrodite, Moon to, Boksuneun naui geot, Ocean's Eleven, Araburu tamashii-tachi, Ne le dis à personne, Harry Brown, Baramui paiteo, Sky High, Apocalypto, Bunhongsin, Inside Man, Dawn Of The Dead, Martyrs. Most won't make my list but there's a couple of them still in with a shot.
