A Song For September

That elusive hide-and-seek cow is at it again
I'll have my rd12 votes in my tonight. I'm just stuck on my r13 nom. I can't decide if it should be Bowie, Bowie, or Bowie. =\ At the end of the day though, I'll probably scrap all those options and just go with Bowie out of nowhere.

Arvo Pärt - Spiegel im spiegel

The length of this one will probably be off-putting to some, so it won't hurt my feelings if you don't like it and don't want to finish it.
I love this piece, so don't worry, I'll listen al the way

Round 12

1. One Bad Son - The Outlaw Josey Wales
(One Bad Son is a Canadian rock band with a Southern sound. They're pretty solid, but this song is by far the best thing I've heard from them. I love how it builds and the mood it sets.)

2. Rainbow - Temple of the King
(Surprisingly, I don't think I've heard this before. Great song. Love the guitars and the medieval feel, and Dio's one of the all-time great vocalists, even if this is him at his most restrained.)

3. Alt-J - Fitzpleasure
(Very gelatinous, for lack of a better term, the music constantly morphing into something new, never growing static. I dug it. Would probably sound amazing with a good sound system.)

4. Anouk - Nobody's Wife
(Had to find a different video since the provided link was blocked in my country. Pretty standard girl-with-attitude rock song, but it was enjoyable.)

5. Beach Boys - Good Vibrations
(Never been a big fan of the Beach Boys.)

6. Something Secret - Skinside Out
(That was weird. Not a pleasant listen, but oddly fascinating? It made me uncomfortable, which I assume is the point. Curiosity morphed into annoyance about halfway through.)

7. Perry Como - It's Impossible
(Not my tempo.)

Ed comes back in through the revolving door and waves to jj as he perhaps goes in search of hk - so just the seven of us in the mix this time.

I lol'd pretty hard at this. Great game play commentary.

That elusive hide-and-seek cow is at it again
1. Beach Boys - Good Vibrations
Can't really beat Brian Wilson from this list.

2. One Bad Son - The Outlaw Josey Wales
Not really my style completely but those vocal intervals are pretty spot on against the chords. Nice stuff happening.

3. Alt-J - Fitzpleasure
Very talented group. I highly recommend watching any of their live radio performances on YouTube.

4. Something Secret - Skinside Out (radio edit)
Weird. It's like ... It's like if Bowie, Annie Lennox and maybe Moby had a three-way. I can respect that.

5. Anouk - Nobody's Wife
Hm. I'm pretty sure I was in a relationship with whoever penned THESE lyrics. Oh the humanity! But I'm a sucker for heart breakers so I'm totally crushing here.

6. Perry Como - It's Impossible
Not much to say but it is Perry Como.

7. Rainbow - Temple of the King
Not a fan of the lyrics. Sorry =(

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
Sadly hk's a no-show this time but we all know there's no waiting in this game....

1st - Red Shahan - Men & Coyotes (44 pts)

Congratulations @Captain Spaulding!
