The Brave Little Weeman Returns!
Four nominations you say? Going for some cheese. And The Smiths. And The Specials.

All I know is -- the men (except maybe 7thson) are voting for the stupid, SAFE ***** again, even in the '80s. I mean, give me a break. John Lennon is not '80s. John Lennon DIED in 1980. The song was released after his death!
"Watching the Wheels" is from the album DOUBLE FANTASY, which was released November 17, 1980; Lennon died Dec. 8, 1980.

Alright, I got rid of Whitney, too. It's a different woman now.

I'm nominating:

I Melt With You - Modern English

Don't You Forget About Me - Simple Minds

Head Over Heels - Tears for Fears

All Night Long - Lionel Richie
I give -- which one of these is a woman?

By "SAFE" I'm guessing you mean anything with a lasting impact that wouldn't qualify as the "N'Sync" or "Justin Bieber" of its day...

(Btw, I much prefer your original nominations -- at least you had two great vocalists in there)

Madness - Our House -

Madonna - Like a Virgin -

David Bowie - Let's Dance -

Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams -

Some that I were going to nominate already have been like 'Take On Me', 'Cars' and some others. Good stuff.

Got some more songs that I'll nominate if I have the chance.

Should we allow Billie Jean to be nominated?
Why on earth would you want to do that?!

So are we allowed only four nominations, or we can nominate groups of four ad infinitum...?

Four at a time, but you have to wait for at least 3 to nominate between your posts, so you can nominate 4 again.

Love the noms for the ladies...and Madonna, too!

I'm going to nominate another Roxette song Miss Vicky, Listen To Your Heart. Just waiting for my turn then I'll post my last four nominations I think.
This will replace your "Like a Virgin" nom, which was already nominated by Jiraffe Justin.

We're at 56 songs. Should we stop at 64 or go on to 128?

Okay, I had two other songs here that I want to nominate, then that is it, so I'll post them with the Roxette song if you don't mind me doing this

Billy Joel - Uptown Girl

Roxette - Listen To Your Heart

Olivia Newton John & ELO - Xanadu

That would make it 10 songs:

Madness - Our House
David Bowie - Let's Dance
Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams
Cydni Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Relax (Don't Do It)
Olivia Newton-John - Physical
New Edition - Cool It Now

OK, this list is HARDLY '80s at all. I'm moving on to 128 songs. And I'm gonna post 10 more songs of my own to get this list alive. You all can post 10 more songs, too -- ESPECIALLY if you're not LP Quagmire. In fact, I recommend we finish our noms before he even gets back! He is ruining the list! Like, TOTALLY!

Miss Vicky, honey, no more INXS or Roxette or Tom Petty, please.

Sexy, if you don't like Tom Petty or INXS, then vote against them in the tournament. I'm going to nominate the artists and songs that represent what I like about the decade's music.

I knew those were coming.

I realized I like a Lindsey Buckingham song - "Holiday Road" - didn't realize that was him.
