The big misunderstanding with this movie is that people think its a movie about flyfishing....but its not..its a movie about family...youth....adventure.....risk...love....addiction....change....the inability to change....and the ability to love someone who wont change.....the story is superb and based on true events...the movie is filled with memorable scenes...and stunning imagery...the acting is sensational by all including the young kids who play the 2 brothers when they were children the one who plays young paul should have won awards, i swear he was the 6 year old brad pitt the way he captures brads mannerisms and facial movements is crazy....flyfishing is of course part of the film but it is not what the film is about...its used more like a metophore of the films true theme which is an american coming of age tale about life, loss and acceptance of the way people are....how do you feel about this film.

No. It was good, but it was basically like an episode of The Waltons with much better acting and cinematography.
