This movie I'm thinking of was on TCM during Black History Month. It was black and white and seemed to focus on a black man struggling o make it by in a run down neighborhood. He's got a kid, a son, I think it belongs to him, who at one point, runs around with a monster mask on. At another point, the main character, the man, is cleaning an engine block in his kitchen, I think. He gets into an argument with his wife/girlfriend because one of the Man's friends wants him to participate in something bad or questionable.

During another part there's a group of kids throwing rocks in the middle of these left over ruins from a factory.

I found a list of played on TCM during Black History Month, but I've got no idea which one it is and have read all the titles and descriptions.

Here's the list:

Maybe it wasn't even on TCM.

It had an "indie" feel and felt like the actors were a whole lot more realistic than the majority of things coming out today.

Your thoughts.

MOVIE TITLE JUMBLE
New jumble is two words: balesdaewrd
Previous jumble goes to, Mrs. Darcy! (gdknmoifoaneevh - Kingdom of Heaven)
The individual words are jumbled then the spaces are removed. PM the answer to me. First one with the answer wins.

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.

Your movie is 100% Killer of Sheep, Charles Burnett's ultra-low budget flick from 1977, mostly filmed with friends and family in and around L.A.. I believe it's currently on DVD. I, too, watched it on TCM last year.

Your movie is 100^ Killer of Sheep.
It most certainly is! Thank you.

For anyone that hasn't seen it, I recommend it.

Yes, I am recommending a movie I barely remember seeing that I didn't even finish. It was beyond my control.
